The girl behind the camera

Lu Welter Photography

A little bit about me..

I was born and raised in Ventura County. I love it here and I truly don't think I can ever leave. Photography hasn't always been my passion. I always dreamed I would do something to help others..as in the medical field, maybe being a nurse, caregiver. That sort of career. Then one day I picked up the camera to take photos of my best friends family for fun and I haven't put it down since. I'm a lover of color, nature, animals, and food. I feel I have gone through a lot of experiences in my 28 years of living that makes me truly believe that I can understand whole heartedly how important capturing images is. To capture a moment in time. To be able to lock a moment into an image that you can look back for years to come. More about me. I get distracted easily. Clearly as I start typing and I end up talking about my photos vs about me. I am a Wife to my amazing wife Sierra. Above all things though, I am a mother. A mother to my beautiful miracle IVF twins Montgomery and Malakai. After becoming a mother..I see the world so differently and I wouldn't change it for the world. And that is about all I can say about me. Maybe one day I will be able to write better lol...but today is not the day. Thanks for reading :)

The Schneider's

From booking our session to taking our photos everything was so easy with Lauren. Lauren instantly feels like your best friend and makes being in front of the camera fun and natural! My husband and I brought our 6 week old baby who cried the whole time and wouldn’t open his eyes. Somehow she was still able to capture some good photos of us!
